Mission:  To help all of my clients lead happy, strong and empowered lives.

Hi, I’m John Leyva founder of Hoboken Fitness. I created Hoboken Fitness after a lifetime of being active, and more than 10 years of working in the health and wellness industry. I’ve worked with countless clients who ranged from 14 – 65 years old, males and females, athletes to amateurs, but all of them looking to become healthier, stronger, leaner and happier with their lives overall. They’ve called me their coach, their friend, their psychologist, their priest, but in the end always  their personal trainer.

The goal I have for each one of my clients is to help them lead a strong, happy, and empowered life. That can’t be done with a cookie cutter approach, but rather to to customize a training program based on you, your body, and science. To be able to this, I’ve invested heavily in my education with dual degrees in Exercise Science and Psychology from Rutgers University (RU! RU!), along with 12 different certifications ranging from Pre and Post Natal Training to CrossFit to Olympic WeightLifting to KettleBells.
